Our school held a seminar on teaching development and talent training for small language majors in secondary vocational

We will put forward a vocational education and training system for vocational education, and deepen the new requirements for the integration of production and education and school-enterprise cooperation.

In this context, on November 9, 2017, the seminar on teaching development and talent training for small language majors in Guangzhou secondary vocational schools was successfully held in our school. The seminar invited experts in small language education and teaching in and outside the province, and small language teachers from secondary schools in the city participated in the seminar. Wu Songhai, deputy director of the Guangzhou Municipal Education Bureau, and Chen Yujuan, vice president of the Guangzhou Institute of Education and Research, Wu Haohong, President of Guangzhou Tourism Business Vocational School, Vice President Shi Faliang, Director of the Teaching and Research Section, Huang Wei, Academic Affairs Department, Leng Yaojun, Tan Zihua And Deputy Director Xia Zhongyi took the time to attend.

The seminar was first delivered by President Wu Haohong. President Wu first affirmed the achievements of our school's small language majors and courses in recent years, and hopes to make persistent efforts in the future to make breakthroughs in students' overseas internships. Subsequently, Deputy Director Wu Songhai of the Guangzhou Municipal Education Bureau encouraged all the junior middle school teachers to work together to cultivate more high-quality foreign language talents for Guangzhou as the international leading city in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau.

The seminar invited Professor Peng Nianci, the head of the German Department of the Foreign Languages School of Sun Yat-sen University, to give a lecture on the development of small language teaching under the new situation of “One Belt, One Road”. Professor Peng pointed out that under the “One Belt, One Road” strategy, small language teaching ushered in the development of spring, and hoped that Guangzhou would Vocational schools can seize the opportunity to develop small language teaching and help the "One Belt, One Road" national policy. Zeng Min, director of the Office of Higher Vocational Education in Pudong Foreign Affairs Service School from Shanghai, introduced the policies and experience of the five-year system of small language programs in Shanghai to all participants. Director Zeng shared that their school's implementation of the middle and high vocational education program has improved the level of school-enterprise cooperation in small language programs, improved the skills competition of small language students and allowed the school to take the initiative in the admissions work.

Then, Zhou Jian, director of the German Teaching and Research Section of Guangdong Light Industry Vocational and Technical College, and Long Kaisheng, director of the Japanese Language Teaching and Research Section of Guangzhou Railway Vocational and Technical College, gave wonderful reports on the employment situation of small language graduates and the current status of small language majors. Before the end of the seminar, the president of the Guangzhou Vocational School of Foreign Languages and Culture, Chen Yujuan, sent a message to the teachers of the small-language language to keep on improving their teaching level. Finally, Vice President Shi Faliang announced the successful conclusion of the seminar. He also hoped that the teachers would be more dedicated and professional in the future work, so that students and parents would be satisfied.
